Thursday Theories – Cartoons Brought to Life

So, I went to see the second Suicide Squad, I didn’t see the first one. I am a huge fan of the animated Harley Quinn, so I didn’t like the whole blue and pink outfits, or the one Hyena. Give me two hyena or none at all. However, I actually wanted to see this one.

Harley Quinn had her black and red (which I can see all the girls and some boys wearing), and I have a huge crush on Irdris Elba, adore John Cena. I’m not going to reveal anything. However, I really did love it. The cast were fantastic, great music and lovely back stories.

It did make me think though, I did adore Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. She was very energetic and fun and crazy, and what you’d want in “real life” Harley Quinn. Unlike the cartoons though, there was just that little bit lacking. She was great though. I jsut got thinking though

How many times have we been disappointed, or loved, from seeing a favourite character come to life on the big screen?

Happy Birthday Beatrix Potter!

In Australia, it’s #BeatrixPotter birthday today…What is your favourite Beatrix Potter character? If it is Peter Rabbit (lol) whose your next favourite? I once played Mrs Tittlemouse for a ballet concert =D When I was little, I used to be obsessed with the Beatrix Potter ballet movie. Just like The Red Shoes, it was kind of scary and I wonder why my parents let me watch it,lol. You have the Owl kidnap Squirrel Nutkin, take his tail, and gives him a wink as he leaves. Than Mr Fox, steals Jemima Puddle-Duck egg, to eat and tries to eat her as well, and Mister Jeremy Fisher, almost gets eaten alive by fish,lol.

Do you prefer Apple (‘I’ products) or Android for your technology ‘fix’?   

Since I’ve always had Android, I guess that I prefer Android for my fix. The only thing I really have that’s an Apple is my Ipod and it’s already really old,lol….It had to be nearly 10 years old at least.

What’s something on your personal bucket list? 

I want to go to Greece/Rome and see all of the Ancient sites. There was one point where I wanted to go to Egypt as well. However, as time as gone on, I’m just not as interested anymore. I love the History of Egypt still, but just don’t want to go there as much anymore. If I win a competition, I’d go. I’m not really sure why, but Greece and Rome are still on that list.

What would you name your boat if you had one?   The Unsinkable 3? The Please Don’t Sink? Your choice! Also, what would it look like? Do you want a motor yacht, a sailboat, or perhaps a dinghy?

(I like the “Please Don’t Sink” one,lol).

I think I would need to name it something cheery, like “The SunFlower” or the “RoseBud”…Don’t know why I can only think of Flowers,lol.

Which fictional character would be the most boring to meet in real life? 

Edward Cullen…I am not even sorry,lol…Actually either Edward Cullen or Anastasia “Ana” Steele…Once again, not sorry,lol

What brought gratitude, a smile or laughter to your life this week?

It’s been a good week, just overall and even with a cold. It’s actually been really good. I started off the week at my first concert since I had my anxiety attack last year. I did so good, I nearly had a little moment and saw all these people around. After that I just kept looking straight ahead. It’s just been a good week, you know what I mean? Nothing exciting, just all good.

1. What’s your favorite comic figure and why?

My favourite comic character would have to be “The Archies“. I have been reading those comics since I was a child. In this crazy world, I have access to so much that I am able to purchase a lot of Archie things lately. I know a lot of people would probably be a little shock since Harley Quinn could be classified as a ‘comic character’. I am just trying to look at this as purely comic characters.

1. Name something you wish you could like.

I wish that I could like things straight away as soon as they come out, like the normal people do. I’ve always had this thing if people are pressuring me or pushing me to like something, to watch something, I pretty much will instantly hate it. Whenever a new show comes out and everyone is pushing for you to watch it the moment it comes out. I wait a whole season and THEN start watching it,lol…I think it’s really freaky that people will just push and push you to watch a show, like their life depends on who gets to watch the show the fastest.

1. Tell me about your first crush / first date / first kiss.

I remember my first non-celebrity crush, I still remember what he looks like…And I still like to point out that I had a crush on him first before Hanson came out,lol. I still remember thinking how gorgeous he was, with his long flowing blonde locks, he was the first boy I liked who was a blonde. Then I find out he drove a mini and he had me.

1. What sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?

I am a Taurus (The Bull). I do to a certain degree, I do believe that they give us certain characteristics. I mean if you were too look up what it “means” to be a Taurus, you’d probably find that’s pretty much me. Even the personality trait for wanting the finer things. While I generally am known for being happy with my lot, somehow whenever we go shopping. I can always pick out the most expensive item. It’s a little knack, that I can never afford!

Which of these is worse….

Not liking the main character in a story

OR

Not liking the plot of the story

I think that not liking the plot of a story can be much worse than not liking a main character of a book. Even sometimes when I’ve not liked a particular character in a book, I have enjoyed the story and sometimes some of the other characters make up for the “lack of character” of a main character. Then again I don’t think I’ve ever really read a book where there’s only been one character in the whole book.

I have a read book where I was not enjoying the plot or theme of the book, it felt a little to close to home, and I had to stop reading it, and I have not read it since. I can even read characters that I don’t necessarily like but it has nothing to do with the writing of the character. Sometimes the most horrible characters who do horrible things are beautifully written.

In your native language which letter or character describes you best?  Why?

I wish that I spoke another language, I’ve always wanted to speak Spanish or Elvish (lol), unfortunately though I only speak English =/

What is your greatest extravagance?

I know what I would like to be extravagant about. In fact just the past weekend I went to a convention and this convention was one of those “nerdy/geeky” type of conventions. They had a couple of stores there that had some gorgeous figurines and I told my partner “I wish I had enough money so I could have a house with a room for just “stuff” lol

Do you prefer exercising your mind or your body? How frequently do you do either?

It actually depends, I’ve been really badly injured in my leg over the last couple of weeks. Which has meant a lot of sitting around and a lot of thinking. I’ve been trying to get into my exercising my body a lot more, but I’ve kind of hit a snag obviously,lol. I’ve always felt though you have to exercise both as you see fit, you need to listen to your body and mind and see what they need.

List at least 5 things that makes you laugh.

1. My puppy when she has one of her “crazy minutes” and runs about the house.
2. Any good comedy shows, sometimes I need to watch one before bed.
3. My partner when he relaxes, he can be quite silly,lol
4. There is a Drag Queen that I LOVE (apart from my brother, he’s the best one out there!) and her and her brother have this YouTube channel that I have just discovered and it’s amazing! Search for “Bro’Laska” in YouTube.
5. Pretty much any cute animal/animal fail video…Check those out too,lol
