The moon is a HUGE part of Sahmain and Halloween. When the Sunset sets, that’s when ghouls and spirits come out. What a better time though to have a “Once in a Blue Moon” then on the 31st of October this year!
For the first time since World War II, people in all parts of the world will be able to see the Oct. 31 display. If you’re too busy watching horror movies, you’ll have to wait until 2039 for another global full moon.
Learn Religions – What is a Blue Moon
The moon itself is typically associated with women’s mysteries, intuition, and the divine aspects of the sacred feminine. Some modern magical traditions associate the Blue Moon with the growth of knowledge and wisdom within the phases of a woman’s life. Specifically, it is sometimes representative of the elder years, once a woman has passed far beyond the status of early cronehood; some groups refer to this as the Grandmother aspect of the Goddess.
Still other groups see this as a time—because of its rarity—of heightened clarity and connection to the Divine. Workings done during a Blue Moon can sometimes have a magical boost if you’re doing spirit communication, or working on developing your own psychic abilities.

To really enjoy this Blue Moon, you don’t need to feel like you HAVE to do some deep olde Latin Spell. One of the best things about the blue moon, is that it’s about YOUR divine power and embracing whatever that means to YOU. Whatever makes YOUR spirit feel stronger. That can be a olde Latin Moon Spell, a cleansing spell, a bath with the music up loud. That’s the thing with the Divine…There’s no point faking it! Your Spirit always knows!
However, if you do want to something a bit more special this year. Totally go for it! There are plenty you can do!
