I want to hear about some of the different and “weird” moment, you’ve been inspired to write a post blog. You can say the shower, but I’m thinking more along the lines of:
As an example, I was recently inspired to write a blog post about my generation and protesting, and how we’ve haven’t really had many things to passionately protest about. All while I was looking for coat hangers for clothes. But then in turned to also write this blog post.
I started to think recently about how I blog. I usually write two posts a day, most of them are scheduled. The first is usually early in the morning (5am) and the other is usually in the evening (5-6pm) my time. It made me wonder if people thought I was being rude? I can’t honestly remember the last time I remember being up at 5am. Between 5-6pm, if I’m at work, I’m leaving travelling. That’s why a lot of my posts are scheduled.
I just had this thought that maybe I was appearing to be rude? Mainly because, as I mentioned. I schedule a lot of my posts. It just got me wondering if people were thinking “Well if she’s got time to post, she’s got time to reply to my comment”? Then it had me wondering if others do the same as myself, or do you all write and publish your posts there and then? The other thing I do, is rarely do I post on the weekend. It has to be of something that is of particular interest to me. Because I have a lot of random thoughts about situations, I could write every single day of every thought that enters my head. So I give you all a break ~.^
I also write a lot of my scheduled posts on the weekend.
Oh I am completely struggling with thinking of Blog posts lately. It’s probably going to sound completely weird, but with the happier weather (Spring). I have tended to get out more and have been blogging less because of it. It’s not really helping that I’ve been sick all week, that has been so annoying and throwing my sleeping patterns way off course.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I can usually have between 5-10 post all scheduled and ready to go. When that number starts to drop, I start to worry a little and then put pressure on myself to write a good post, ready to go. I felt like this all week last week, I was struggling to find inspiration. Over the weekend though, I managed to get the count back up again.
Do any of you get this feeling too? You just hit a blogging wall and that’s it. You can’t get it back there for a bit!
Considering I am always genuinely shocked whenever I get one reader following me. 800 is amazing! That’s a lot for myself! It makes me feel like
Be cool Lolsy, Be Cool…
Thank you all who started to read my Blog! You’ve made this girl very happy =D
I wrote a post a couple of weeks back saying that if I could get close to 1000 near the end of the year, that I would do a give away. I am still going to do that. In fact, I’ve already gotten a couple of things for it…So watch this space for me! 4 month until Christmas! I think if it keeps going the way it’s going…I can see getting to the 1000 readers by the end of the year. That would be really fantastic!
I just have to find a way to do the giveaway! Does anyone know how to set one up on WordPress?
Blogging on the go
I have been trying to find way that you can “Blog-on-the-go”. I am open to suggestions! Sometimes I’ll be at work, or I’ll out and I think of a really good Blog topic. Only to get home and completely forget about what I was going to write about! I’ve tried texting to myself, it doesn’t always work though. Some people that I know get really annoyed if I go on my phone if I’m out with them. I’ve even gotten into a argument because I HAD to check my phone. As a girlfriend was trying to get over a guy and I was worried about her.
I was thinking that if I get a tax refund this year, that I might buy a tablet or something similar? Are those voice recorder pens, even a real thing?
Any ideas? What do you use?
I have a sad tail to tell…
The tale (I’ll use the proper word now ~.^) of the second tailless Lioness is one full of adventure, heartbreak and above all survival! Yes, that’s right…I did write the ‘second tailless Lioness. The tailless Lioness of which I am writing about today is the younger of the Tsalala tailless Lioness’s. The younger is daughter to the older.
The story of how these two Lioness’s lose their tail, are not the only similarities between the two.
The both lost their tails through attacks by Hyena, they both managed to take cubs away from the dangers of intruding male coalitions. Helping most of them survive all the way to adulthood. They come to rest in the same place. James Tyrell has been able to write her story much more beautifully than I can.
What a Legacy!
No, I’m not about to give you my telephone number =P
I’m just meaning other places, other ways you can check what I am up too…If you want too. I’ve been very lucky lately in that I’ve been able to think of things to Blog about. Sometimes though I don’t always Blog everything. Not even about the books I’m reading about. Since I’ve written #LetsTalk and the response from that Blog post. You can find other ways to talk with me.
For most of my social media type profiles, I have a personal one AND a more Blog type one.
Twitter – I post the most random things. I usually post pictures about the animals on #safarilive animals and the most random thoughts about causes and things that are trending on Twitter. It’s very unbloggy really. Sometimes I’ll post about about my Blogs, but usually they are safari live related.
Instagram – Look up lady_lolly84 : I usually post what book/s I’m reading. Then I direct people to read my Blog and read my reviews. In between I’ll post pictures of my dog and cat. Just random posts of myself as well. The posts may be about something interesting I’ve bought or about something that’s happened to me during the day.
Goodreads – Obviously you can check the progress of books that I’m reading. One of the differences between my Insta and Goodreads. The books that I post about on my Insta are not always going to be part of my Goodread list. Either I’m rereading them or for whatever reasons it’s just not something I want to write about…I just want to read it.
I do have a Facebook, but it’s more private. I have considered making one for my Blog, but I don’t like Facebook THAT much. I rarely go on it these days. There’d be no point.
I have decided that I am going to start doing a monthly wrap up, on some of my favourite things from that month. That why I can look back and smile. What a great month to start on than my own birthday month!
Books I have read: (Including books I have not put on my Goodreads list)
- Truly, Madly, Guilty – Liane Moriarty.
- The Distant Hours – Kate Morton
- Lord of Shadows – Cassandra Clare.
Food I’ve made, or am going to make:
*Edit* I fell asleep in the middle of writing this one! – Too possibly be completed a later date.*
