Thursday Theories – Birthday

You’re probably thinking “Wait, you’re not writing something fun on your birthday” My dear friends and readers, this day is not over. I love to learn, so I learnt about Birthdays. We just take for granted we get one. How did they start? What does it mean? Numerology? Star Signs? There are some many things that take place on a Birthday.

  • “Happy Birthday To You” is the most popular song in the English language. But be careful the next time you sing it, it’s copyrighted!
  • August is the most popular birth month, accounting for nearly 9 percent of all birthdays in the world.
  • On the other hand, the month with the least amount of birthdays is February.
  • In 1997, Paul McCartney’s birth certificate became the most expensive birth certificate in the world, when it sold at an auction for $84,146!
  • Speaking of candles… the first birthday cake with candles was had in 18th century Greece.
  • Europeans were the first ones to use noisemakers on someone’s birthday, as they thought it would help keep evil spirits away.
  • William Shakespeare died on his 52nd birthday — April 23, 1616.
  • Early Christians viewed birthday celebrations as pagan in nature.
  • In China, a newborn is considered age 1. Thus, a 1-year-old in the West, as well as most other parts of the world, would be aged 2 years in China.

There is a site that you can visit to find out what happened on your birthday: MyBirthdayFacts

What is numerology?

Definition: Numerology is the pseudoscientific belief in a divine or mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events.

A lot of Numerologists will use the numbers of the dates of your birthday, to give you a more spiritual type belief of who you are. It’s kind of similar to Astrology (your birth signs). You use the numbers of your date of birth, to figure out your life path number. Which is usually a single digit.

Each life path number has a different meaning.

It is calculated by adding up the numbers in your full date of birth.
For example, April 4th 1992, would be 4 + 4 = 8. Then the 1992 is broken down as 1 + 9 + 9 + 2 = 21.

Now you add the two digits of 21 together like 2 + 1 = 3.

This is the same with any double-digit numbers which you should keep adding together until you end up with a 1 digit number.
Example: 19 becomes 1 + 9 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1). Finally, add the 8 and 3 together for your life path number i.e. 8 + 3 = 11.

So take today, as an example

29/04/2022

2+9 = 11

4

2+0+2+2 = 6

6+4+11 = 21 – 2+1 = 3

3 would be your life path number, if you were born today.

Mine is 1 =D

They’re gonna hate it

…and I don’t care! Haha

I have thought of what I want next year for my birthday…

I don’t want presents, and I don’t want money

What I want is a promise

From everyone who just wont defend me and makes excuses for people, especially family members who treat me like shit.

The promise?

Too promise that they will never once say to me again, in any way whatsoever…That will never say to me again that will never put those people first.

I didn’t go to my non-birthday for them, or for anyone else. I turned up for me and to get presents that I MORE than deserved, and to dance. I swear even like an hour beforehand I wasn’t going to go. Then I thought, why the fuck shouldn’t I? I got free alcohol, presents and got out…but not for them.

Happy Birthday Agatha Christie!!!

Happy 131st Birthday Agatha Christie (if she was still alive), and we are so happy that you were born ❤

Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE was an English writer known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections. I forget that she was a Dame.

Agatha Christie is probably the worlds most female author and writer, especially in the mystery and crime genre. And Then There Were None is Christie’s best-selling novel, with 100 million sales to date, making it the world’s best-selling mystery ever, and one of the best-selling books of all time.

Apparently, Agatha Christie didn’t actually like her own character, the Belgian Detective Hercule Poriot. I wonder if she would love him now, as a lot of us do?

Why not celebrate this author by:

  • Have a cup of English tea, in a beautiful tea cup
  • Read a book of hers…
  • Then compare that book to the more modern television shows and movies
  • Dress up, enjoy a fancy dinner, and make little name plates with well know Agatha Christie characters.

Happy Birthday Your Majesty

Today is kind of Her Royal Majesty’s of England birthday.

I saw kind of for a pretty good reason, it’s not actually her actual Birthday.

The Queen of England was actually born on the 21st of April (A lady never reveals the year of birth).

So why the two birthdays?

The biggest reason has been around since about George III. Why she gets two birthdays though is because if a Sovereign has a birthday in the colder months, you can’t really celebrate it. Can you imagine going out in the middle of an English winter? It’s basically so they can do all the pomp and ceremony, canons going off, planes flying over etc.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Birthday

Oh Dr King…What would you be making of the present situation?

One can only begin to imagine

He’d be 90 today!

Some things you may not know about the man!

  • Martin Luther King was awarded, on June 5, 1955,  a Doctorate of Philosophy in Systematic Theology from Boston University.
  • Probably the most successful non-violent leader of civil rights.
  • Unlike Gandhi, the Doctor did not lie down with young girls.
  • King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964
  • His father was a Pastor and his mother, a school teacher.
  • March on Washington was held on August 28th and roughly between 200,000 to 300,000 people attended.
  • Awarded “Man of the Year” by TIME magazine and in 1964 (suck it Trump!)lol
  • After King was assassinated, President Johnson declared a day of mourning.
  • Although King was assassinated on April 4th, 1968, Martin Luther King Day was first celebrated in 1986.

If you were given $22 million tax free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do? (This is just a dream question, remember anything can happen in SYW.)

I would definitely pay off both of my parents mortgages AND look for a house for myself. Probably not one that has something ridiculous like 7 bedrooms, but a nice house. That’s near the sea, but not so close that it gets all that salt rot.

In what do you find the simplest of joys?

Coming home again…Whether it’s my Mums or my partners home. That moment when you get back and you can take off all your annoying “look nice” clothes, and get into your sweats. Curling up with a cup of tea.

What would be your ideal birthday present, and why?

In all honesty (and my answer is pretty lame) Just to know that the ones I care about are happy. I know that it seems lame, but we’ve all had so much going on. That’d it’d been really nice just to know that they are genuinely happy. My partner and I make jokes now about how we are the druggie family. I’m on medication for my anxiety, he’s on antibiotics for an infected ear and even the cat at the moment. The cat is on tablets to see if his fits are from a parasite. Which means we are all taking some kind of medication at the moment. Even my Mum has come down with something personal, and she’s on antibiotics as well.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

So it seems like everyone in my family has high cholesterol, so my Doctor has put me on some tablets to help bring it down. I’m glad that I got is checked though. Now I know that I can’t keep eating badly, it’s making me want to change my lifestyle. More home cooked meals, more walks. My Doctor said that I wasn’t really at risk at a heart attack, because my blood pressure is fine. Although it’s scary, I am glad that I got it checked, because now I know.

This Birthday weekend starts now…

My actual birthday is tomorrow (Saturday), but I have things happening from now. So you probably wont hear from me at all for a couple of days, apart from one post that’s already been scheduled. I tried to get something that would get everyone together, but other people sharing the same week as me had different plans. So now I’ve got to see three different groups of people at different times.

Although I am excited to see people I care about, do you find that Birthdays tend to very rarely go the way you want them too? People ask you what you want too do, but they don’t really mean it? Even presents start becoming a disappointed, I had all these people ask me for my wishlists and now they’re all telling me that they’re just going to give me money? Like, what’s the point?lol…I couldn’t buy the things I wanted because I thought one of them were getting it, and now they’re all sold out. I have to celebrate my Birthday, not on my Birthday, but on someone’s non-birthday too and my partner wants to go straight to one celebration, without seeing my Dog and I want to see my Dog.

My Mum even said that we could have a combined Mothers Day and my Birthday thing and I said “HELL NO!” We’ve done that for the last couple of years and I end up doing the dishes all by myself, even though my cousins kids are perfectly old enough to help, while they complain about how bored they are. Including last year when I had hurt my leg and hobbling around in pain…Happy Birthday to me!lol

32

As I mentioned before it is my birthday today and I can even give you a guess of my age. I’ll give you a guess with a posting from my favourite author “Paulo Coelho”.

http://paulocoelhoblog.com/2016/04/06/32-life-lessons-i-learned-by-age-32/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PauloCoelhosBlog+%28Paulo+Coelho%27s+Blog%29%20

There is some great advice in here and being of this age, I can agree that a lot of these have come up for me over the last year. Even the not being in an office job for the rest of my life.

20 things I learnt in my 20’s

I have now turned 30 + 1, but I thought it would be a good opportunity to write about what I learnt in my 20’s as I now head into my 30’s…Scary as!

1. If you are lucky enough to have a good family, this is extremely rare, spend all the family time you can with them.
2. You don’t have to get drunk ALL the time, know your limits, not only will you not throw up but you wont have a hangover the next day!
3. Facebook does not equal best friends for life.
4. Take all the selfie’s you want too! You don’t have to post them on Facebook or Instagram, but if they make you feel good…Go for it!
5. Make time for friends and your romantic relationships.
6. Have at least ONE passionate lover that you do not date and you can be friends with afterwards. (Be safe!)
7. Volunteer or stand up for at least one cause you are completely passionate about!
8. You do not know everything…Listen.
9. Make time for yourself.
10. Not everyone is going to get married, live together and have children in that order and it IS okay not to have children.
11. If you have a passion for your job, or find a job you are passionate about, stick with it and improve at it!
12. If you have children in your 20’s, don’t let the rest of the world babysit and take care of your babies. Take pride in raising your children and don’t let the rest of the world tell you what makes a “good” or “bad” parent. Don’t be ashamed though to ask for help! There’s a lot of willing to help out there!
13. Not everyone is and will be your best friend for life, but you will figure out who your “real” friends are.
14. It’s okay to let go and still care about a person.
15. Do not let bad relationships waste your time or control your life. If you can’t let go…Get Help!
16. I repeat…Facebook does NOT equal best friends for life.
17. Sometimes you just need a cuddle from and with someone or an animal that is warm.
18. Do NOT stop reading! It doesn’t matter what it is, never stop reading!
19. Go to a local festival, convention, concert or to theatre at least one a year!
20. It is completely normal to be in your Twenties (heading towards your Thirty) and have a crush on a Celebrity.

Have a passion that is all your own! Like myself and my Blogging =D
