Baby explosion!

So another quick #safarilive update and it is a really happy one…There has been an explosion of baby animals, mainly in the predator area.

We’ll start with the Queen of Djuma herself, Karula.

KarulaCharlotteKarulaCubTreeIntroducing to you Princess Charlotte (pic with her mum) and Prince George. Karula is probably one of the best mothers that there are out there. She has successfully raised all her litters, except for one and that was not her fault. The death of that particular cub brought in a new rule that no more than three cars can be in at one sighting of baby animals. If they are really new, there are to be NO cars what-so-ever.

The next to talk about the Nkuhuma lions! They’ve recently had three, roughly a month or two old, but the even cuter find was yesterday on the sunrise drive! Look at the gif below!

However the most exciting news is about the Styx Pride…Now we haven’t seen the Styx pride on the Safari Live drives. We have seen videos and pictures of the new little bundles. The Styx pride has probably been hit the hardest of all the prides in the area. They lost all of their cubs born last year, including a sub-adult female. Two lionesses…So it’s so good to hear that not only have the Styx have had cubs…They haven’t had just one or two…They have had…8…8 CUBS! 8 cubs how wonderful is that!

Babies!Babies!Babies!

I was invited to a baby shower and it’s for my partners cousins. So I have to make a really good impression, except for the whole I might not even be able to make it!

However instead of getting a whole bunch of baby things, they want us to give them a book. Which I personally think is great, but now the pressure is on to get a really great book!

So, my amazing readers, what should I get? Should I get one book or a series? Should I get something else as well “on the side”.

Baby animal magic!

I have been trying to find that quote about not working with animals and children, but all I could find were quotes was about how much people love working with animals and children. While I suspected this may be because of our more “PG acceptable” society…We all know that saying.

I would have to say that over this weekend though, animals are probably not always easy to work with. As many of you will know I took this weekend off as this weekend I was planning on watching the newest members of the Dash family to be born. Over the last few years, once a year, the Dash family has been hatching and raising a small number of baby Ostriches.

It was a very slow weekend, the first Ostrich that showed any sign of “pipping” was Gunga and he/she pretty much spent the whole weekend not hatching out the egg and of course I have to go to work today.

What’s the bet that everything happens today? So one down and three to go!

Babies and their Dads

I am such a sucker for a Dad with their baby…What woman isn’t really? Apart from people who don’t want babies of course! Just to had to re-share this one…Utterly precious! This will make your day =D
