World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization, as well as other related organizations. In 1948, the WHO held the First World Health Assembly.
Our Planet, Our Health
A lot of focus this year is on climate change, and when you take a look at the WHO website, you can certainly tell why.
WHO estimates that more than 13 million deaths around the world each year are due to avoidable environmental causes.

If you’re having a bad day, you might not want to read the website.
So what can you do to help?
With a lot of health issues, it starts with you. And this is no different with your health and how the climate affects that. You can start off simple.
- Recycling
- Planting trees and native plants. Even contacting your council to see about planting groups of trees.
- Lessening food wastage.
- Making decisions on healthier cleaning products.
- Try walking and riding a bicycle more.
- Reusable shopping bags.
I took some cuttings last year and have planted a few hopefully new trees this week. ❤️
