So I know I said that I was going to make it “lighter” this week, but there is something that we need to discuss!
I cannot get back into reading! It’s been horrible! Normally when I hear that I have a book waiting for me at the Library, I do everything I can do get there. But I’ve let two books go back now, without getting them! I decided to try and see if I could find them on my Kobo, but they’re no on there.
So I have found a couple of books on Kobo, thank god! That I am currently reading, but what if they don’t get me back into the groove of things either!?
What do you do when you have a book slump? Do you even do anything, or do you just wait it out?
I go back to a book I loved, that gave me comfort or a feeling of familiarity. By the time I finished I was ready to move on.

Everyone has slumps, and one way to overcome them is to take an intentional, short break, and do something you haven’t done in awhile or perhaps have never done. It’s letting the mind out to play. The classic text for dealing with slumps is “The Artist’s Way” — one of those books that clerks in Barnes and Noble can take you to without looking it up in the computer. To me, it’s a mindset reset.
