This weekend in some states in Australia has been a nice long weekend. Which if you follow me on ym Instagram, you’ll know I spent most of it doing nothing, and it was glorious! I had to finish off some homework, but that was all that HAD to get done.
So why the long weekend?
Well this is the weekend that we celebrate Queen’s Elizabeth birthday.
So Happy Birthday Your Majesty. Her actually birthday is the 21 April 1926. However a lot of the Commonwealth celebrate her birthday during the Summer in the UK. You might see some news about “Colouring the Troops” Which is the UK Military saying Happy Birthday to the Queen. The tradition of the British monarch celebrating two birthdays stems back to 1748, during the reign of King George II. As the king’s birthday fell in late autumn, the weather wasn’t suitable for a large, public celebration in honour of his birthday.
But Lauren, you said Two Queens.
Yes, yes I did.
Today is also and always has been officially this Queens birthday too.
This is my “baby brother” Hahahaha…Although, for a long time now, there has been nothing “baby” about him. Can’t you see you the family resemblance. And how many other big sisters can say that they are at the height of their brothers boobs! Hahahaha.
Although he is the Golden Prince, and was spoilt something rotten. I am really proud of him. I would never tell him this, but I don’t want him to come back to our state. I believe he only started to “grow up” when he left our state. I think he would flounder if he ever came back here.
love the picture of you and your brother Lolsys 💖
