I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot lately. Always because someone is doing that whole “JUST” justification. I said to my therapist recently, that I’m not depressed, just that everyone keeps pissing me off. We both laughed. I asked her though, if that was normal. She thinks it is.
Too explain what I mean, I’ll write a couple of personal examples below:
We’re still being asked what was so transphobic about what Rowling said/wrote. Now for myself, personally, if after nearly two years you are still asking that question. It means one of two things. You either haven’t read it and just jumped on the bandwagon, or you have, by now someone else would have already explained it to you, and you know perfectly well why it is. You just don’t care.
Another one was this girl told us that she had a miscarriage in a public toilet. Which is obviously bad enough, but then she’s using it as a reason to ban trans people from using the bathroom. As the conversation from her side got worse and worse, we have the other side, telling us we were the bad’s ones for nothing having no empathy for her miscarriage. If I have to explain to grown adults, why using something private and heavy to harm others, is still wrong. I don’t know how to explain that.
If we’re going to talk about facts, and you present me with “The Guardian” or “Fox News”, but I’ve got a Scientific Journal, I shouldn’t have to explain to you why I’m not going to listen to your sources, haha
Anyone else, at the same point?
