Questions:
If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make them?
I think it’s a reminder to ourselves, that we are not perfect.
How do we know that pleasure is good and pain is bad?
I think it’s that dopamine? … I think?lol
What problem or situation did TV / movies make you think would be common, but when you grew up you found out it wasn’t?
When I really think about it, it has to be the Cosby’s. Only because though they were such a beautiful family (on tv) that it made me think racism isn’t an issue. Meaning, I didn’t know it was even a thing, if that makes sense? I remember when Oprah was talking to someone about black families on tv, and how “The Cosby’s” was the first show where she saw a black man lay his head loving in the lap of his wife.
Does that make sense? I guess my answer is the opposite of the actual question, lol
If you drive, do you speed when no one is watching? Have you ever run a red light late at night on purpose, particularly if it doesn’t seem to change very quickly? If you don’t drive, what minor law may you have broken?
No,I would never do that. You just know that the ONE time you do it, there’s going to be police, right there. As far as I am aware, I have never broken a Law…Although I probably have done jay walking.
What positive things are you finding to do to occupy your time right now?
I am writing and trying to organise my Discord channel, playing YouTube in the background.
Thank you Lauren for Sharing Your World. I did ‘get’ what you meant by your answer to the TV question. That’s exactly what I’m talking about actually. Perception that doesn’t necessarily match reality. The Cosbys was a real pioneer for a lot of things. Prior to that I don’t recall a single TV show that portrayed persons of color that ‘realistically” There were a couple of early shows featuring black actors, but mostly they were comedy, not drama.
