Share Your World

QUESTIONS:

When you’re 90 years old, what do you suppose will matter most to you?

I’m hoping that it’ll just be something like family. That they’re happy and safe, that I wouldn’t have to worry about them.

What’s the best way to spend a rainy afternoon?

Oh, to read and drinking a nice cup of tea.

What is one thing you don’t understand about yourself?

My anxiety to be completely honest, lol. I know, completely logically, it’s literally all in my head. Yet, I keep having little attacks.

When was the last time you tried something to look ‘cool’ (hip), but it ended in utter embarrassment?   Details?

I’m going to be honest with you all. Now this may come as a shock…But I’m not cool…at all. So not much embarrasses me, it’s usually me doing something silly.

GRATITUDE/I’M SO THANKFUL!

This is an opportunity to share a picture, a story or event that shows your gratitude.

I am very grateful to my therapist this week. Some people, may mean well, but really shouldn’t give out advice. My Aunt told me recently that this stress will kill me and my therapist was all “No one has died from a panic attack”. One, don’t tell people stress will kill them when they suffer from anxiety. Its kind of like when someone says “Are you mad yet?” “Are you mad yet”? Telling someone whose stressing out easily that stressing out will kill them…Guess what happens.

  1. The thing that your Aunt might have been referring to is the rather dated idea that over time stress does kill. Because it takes a high toll on one’s physical being. But having some panic attacks (little or large) won’t do it. It might feel like it at the time, but dying isn’t what will occur. Have your therapists prescribed medication for your anxiety? It truly does help make the condition manageable. I couldn’t function without mine I know. Take care Lauren and Thanks for Sharing Your World! 🙂
