The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, I think, is the most trusted Sanctuary, especially when it comes to Elephants in Africa. They will take in Rhinoceros as well, usually ones who have lost their Mothers. A LOT of the animals that the DSWT rescue have lost their Mothers. Asian Elephants are listed as “Endangered” and the African Elephant is listed as “Vulnerable”.
